Scott is a partner at Freeport Tax Service Inc and has been working here since 2000. He is fortunate to have a wonderful wife Lisa and 2 amazing children, Alexis and Ben. They certainly keep him busy with all of their activities and nothing makes him happier.
Scott was raised in Syosset, NY and earned his BS in Business from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio while majoring in Accounting. Always recognized nationally for their accounting program, Miami gave him the tools he would need to succeed.
Before coming to work with his dad and his brother he worked at Marks Paneth and Shron on Long Island and in Manhattan doing auditing work as well as corporate and individual taxes. It was a great experience and helped to prepare him to go on his own and work with the rest of his family.
As you can imagine working with his dad and his brother is a dream come true. His mom also works with them during tax season. They have always been a very close family and working together only feels natural.
He received his Enrolled Agent license from the IRS on June 14th, 2003 and this has given him the ability to help their clients with any tax issues that might arise with the IRS and state agencies. He handles everything from the preparation of the tax returns to the handling of accounting services for businesses. Dealing with people is what makes this job fun for him and meeting with clients on a daily basis provides him with that opportunity.
